DESCRIPTION:Join The Fight Against Domestic Violence\nWHY: October is domestic violence awareness month.  The color purple has long been associated with the fight to end domestic violence.  Wearing purple helps raise awareness of this issue and is also a way to honor the victims and survivors\, both past and present.  This year\, our goal is to raise awareness of teen dating violence. \nTHE RULES: The company\, organization\, or department who has the highest percentage of participation will be named the winner.  Percentage will be calculated by the number of staff members who are wearing a visible purple item divided by the total number of staff members employed in the company\, organization\, or department.  If a staff member is absent from work this day\, they can still participate by sending photographic proof that they are wearing purple.  To enter\, you must complete the registration form below and submit it via email to jkamps@allegancounty.org by Friday\, October 5\, 2018\, at 5:00 pm. \n\nYou can receive bonus points by posting a photograph of your staff in purple on social media\, website\, etc.\nYou can receive bonus points by posting the enclosed flyer in your office\, which informs the public on why your group is wearing purple.\nBonus points will be calculated as one additional percentage. For example\, if you have 100 employees and 99 participate\, your percentage would be 99%.  If you post the enclosed flyer\, your percentage would become 100%.\n\nTHE PRIZE: The winning company\, organization\, or department will be the lucky recipient of homemade treats from Judge Bakker\, Myrene Koch\, and Jennifer Kamps.  In the event of a tie\, a random tiebreaker drawing will be held. \nWear Purple Day Registration Form and More Information

DESCRIPTION:Loosely based on the popular TV show\, groups in the community will be preparing their best lip sync routine and competing for the coveted People’s Choice Award.  This award is a monetary vote by attendees/supporters.  Every dollar equals a vote for your favorite performers and will take place at intermission.  Proceeds to benefit Wings of Hope and Wings Home.  Join us on October 13th for an evening filled with fun and entertainment and help raise money for two important organizations.  Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for youth.  They can be purchased at Wings of Hope Hospice\, www.wingsofhopehospice.com\, 269-686-8659 or visit us at 530 Linn Street in Allegan.  Hope you can make it!
