SUMMARY:Gasoline Gypsies Livestream Benefit for Kids' Food Basket
DESCRIPTION:Local non-profit Kids’ Food Basket is facing unprecedented challenges in meeting the demand to help nourish children in West Michigan during the COVID-19 crisis.  The Gasoline Gypsies are very honored to offer support by providing a special livestream “distanced” benefit performance on the Kids’ Food Basket Facebook page on Thursday June 18 at 6:00 pm.  We hope you will tune in and join the party! \nOne year ago in June\, the Gypsies spent a very magical\, memorable weekend in downtown Allegan\, headlining the Rolling on the Riverfront concert series…as it is not possible to return in person this summer\, the band is thrilled to at least be able to visit with their local fans virtually\, in support of Kids’ Food Basket! \nKids’ Food Basket will also be hosting a virtual Lunch & Learn events on the same day\, Thursday June 18 at noon.  Please RSVP to Evan.Pazkowski@kidsfoodbasket.org if you wish to attend the virtual Lunch & Learn. \nThe Gasoline Gypsies’ performance will benefit Kids’ Food Basket’s Ottawa and Allegan Feeding Our Future capital campaign to fund a permanent home in Holland.  Prior to COVID-19\, Kids’ Food Basket served roughly 1\,100 nutritious evening meals each day.  Despite serving seven schools\, Kids’ Food Basket is only meeting 10% of the need in the community\, with an estimated 11\,120 kids who suffer from food insecurity.  Kids’ Food Basket has outgrown their current shared space at Peace Lutheran Church. \nIf you have any questions about Kids’ Food Basket\, please contact Evan Pazkowski at (616) 377-8772 or Evan.Pazkowski@kidsfoodbasket.org. \nThe Gasoline Gypsies have been using their talents to support the community and look forward to helping to nourish West Michigan kids to reach their full potential.  To learn more about the Kids’ Food Basket’s Ottawa and Allegan Feeding Our Future campaign\, visit KidsFoodBasket.org. \nTo learn more about the Gasoline Gypsies\, visit thegasolinegypsies.com
