DESCRIPTION:I hope this finds you\, your family\, and your colleagues safe and well during these unprecedented and challenging times. \n \nA lot has happened in a year\, let me tell you…Allegan General Hospital joined the Ascension Michigan hospital system in September 2019. We are now part of the nation’s largest Catholic nonprofit healthcare system and we also gained a new name – Ascension Borgess Allegan Hospital. We celebrated a new year full of new beginnings and promising futures for our patients\, providers and staff only to be halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. \n\nWe are all navigating uncharted waters with new safety guidelines that flow into our personal and professional lives. While many things have changed and will continue to change\, we do have some exciting news to share with you – our 29th Annual Charity Golf Classic will be held as originally planned on Thursday\, August 6 at Cheshire Hills Golf Course! \n\nKeeping our players\, volunteers and Cheshire Hills staff members safe during our Charity Golf Classic is our top priority. With ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19\, we recognize that this situation is still fluid and we will strictly adhere to all directives of the Governor’s Office\, as well as rely on the guidance of Ascension Michigan and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. You will notice some changes with this year’s outing\, however\, we will do our very best to make our outing as safe as possible while we continue to raise vital funds for the Ascension Borgess Allegan Foundation (formerly Allegan General Hospital Foundation). All proceeds from past outings have directly impacted education\, patient and family support services\, and clinical advancements for our local community hospital\, Ascension Borgess Allegan. Thank you for being a partner with us along the way! \n\nSo please mark your calendars for Thursday\, August 6 at 8:30 a.m. and join us at Cheshire Hills Golf Course! If you have previously sponsored our Charity Golf Classic and are able to do so this year\, your continued financial support would mean the world to us. We understand that it has been a challenging year for our economy and our local business partners. To help\, we have a couple of options available to you\, should you wish to sponsor. This year\, we will be holding this event in a creative way to ensure the safety of our team\, our members\, and our community. \n**Please note that the event will run to the scheduled time\, or until shred trucks are at full capacity.** \n**We ask that you please limit to 10 boxes/bags per vehicle** \nBring all of your old personal sensitive documents and simply drive up to the member center. A staff member will take your sensitive documents from your car straight to the shred company on site so you can continue to social distance.
