The Allegan County Fairgrounds covers 115 acres inside the City of Allegan and is surrounded on three sides by the Kalamazoo River helping make it one of the most beautiful fairgrounds in the state. The fairgrounds are the site for the Allegan County Fair which runs for nine days every September starting the first Friday after Labor Day.[custom_frame_right shadow=”on”][/custom_frame_right]
The Allegan County Fair is known throughout Michigan for its big name grandstand entertainment. USA Today has named it the “Most Popular County Fair” in Michigan.
While at the fairgrounds, you can take a step back in time in the beautiful Historical Village put together by the Allegan County Historical Society. The Village is truly a showpiece on the fairgrounds.[custom_frame_left shadow=”on”][/custom_frame_left]

And don’t forget to visit Rocky Rooster, the beloved, albeit unofficial, mascot of the Allegan County Fair. He has become a meeting point, photo op, and friendly greeter at the fair for many years. If you’re at the fair early enough, you will occasionally find him in one of his many different disguises, such as Batman, Superman or Zorro.[custom_frame_right shadow=”on”][/custom_frame_right]
