
The Allegan County Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the history of Allegan County and the vicinity by encouraging historical research and study. The society collects and

preserves historical material connected with Allegan County and houses them at the Allegan Old Jail Museum, and John Pahl Historical Village, both located in Allegan.
The society consists of a board of directors, several committees, volunteers, and hundreds of members Nation wide. The society hosts several fun and educational events yearly, as well as helps to research and document the history of Allegan County.
