The Allegan County news has proudly served all of Allegan County since 1858, delivering our best in local news and sports coverage.  Our weekly paper is published every Thursday.  The deadline for submission of stories, photographs or advertisements is Mondays at 4 p.m.

Our newspaper roots can be traced back to 1842 when the Allegan County Democrat first began.  The paper became the Allegan Record in 1843, which merged with the Allegan Journal in 1863.  The Journal again merged with the Allegan Gazette in 1897, and then with the Allegan News in 1955 becoming the Allegan News and Gazette in 1955.
