The 5 Steps to Become a Foster Parent:

1. Contact a Navigator – Call 855-MICHKIDS to speak with a Foster Care Navigator and get started.
2. Attend an Orientation – Learn about the process and expectations of fostering.
3. Complete the Application – Submit required forms, fingerprints, and medical records.
4. Attend GROW Training – Gain tools and insight through pre-licensure training.
5. Home Evaluation – Your licensing worker will conduct in-home visits to assess readiness.
