The Allegan County Legal Assistance Center provides tools, information, and access to forms to assist self-representing individuals with their civil cases so they may be better informed and prepared for the court’s processes and procedures, thereby increasing both the patron’s access to the Allegan County Civil Courts and the efficiency of the county’s civil court system.
The Center’s services target low income individuals, those who cannot afford an attorney, to assist with their civil court cases such as divorce, child support, parenting time, custody, paternity, personal protection orders, guardianship, landlord-tenant, small claims, court-fee waivers, judgment collection, and other non-criminal matters.
