Allegan Lions Club Pancake Day 2015

The Allegan Lions Club host their annual Pancake Day on Thursday, October 16 from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the United Methodist Church, located at 409 Trowbridge St. in Allegan.  Pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee are on the menu, all for $5.00 (Kids: $3.00).  There will also be a bake sale at the event.

Since 1945, the members of the  Allegan Lions Club have dedicated their time, energy, and resources to the betterment of this community.  The Lions Club motto, “We serve”, is evident in all of the clubs projects and events.  Well-known for their long-standing efforts to promote sight, the Lions assist families in need with costs resulting from diabetes, macular degeneration, cataracts, vision impairment, and blindness through the funding of vision screenings, eye exams, and the provision of glasses and other aids for the visually impaired.  Other local projects include support for music camp, college scholarships, summer tennis program, Boy Scouts of America, Paws with A Cause, Camp Kidwell, and much more.

The Allegan Lions Club meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at the Allegan County Area Technical and Education Center (VoTech) at 6:30 PM.  For membership inquiries, call Shirley Hoffman at 269.673.3015.
