Wings of Hope Hospice Welcomes Mary Soule As New Volunteer Coordinator

Mary SouleWings of Hope Hospice welcomes Mary Soule as the new Volunteer Coordinator. Mary will be recruiting, training and coordinating volunteers for Wings of Hope Hospice, the Wings Home and the new Journeys program. In the coming weeks she will be doing presentations in Allegan and VanBuren Counties to inform people about what volunteering for these agencies is all about.

Three volunteer opportunities are available to serve individuals with increasing levels of need. The Journeys program provides companionship and chores for those with chronic illnesses. Wings of Hope Hospice volunteers provide companionship and respite for individuals in their last months of life. Tasks include delivering medications, sitting with patients to give their loved ones a break or reading to the patient. The Wings Home provides personal care for individuals in their last six weeks of life. Caregivers volunteer in 5 hour shifts and do hands on care.
